BASF is one of the world’s largest chemical companies and a global leader in sustainable agriculture. In Belgium, their research teams are developing cultivation systems designed to help farmers achieve more with less - boosting yields while protecting the environment. To power this innovation, BASF turned to NLight.

PROJECT Details

BASF Belgium required a large-scale, research-grade lighting system capable of simulating diverse growing conditions. By installing nearly 1,000 RV1200 fixtures across their Belgian and Dutch sites, paired with 3-channel spectrum control, researchers now have the flexibility to test light recipes, stress conditions, and crop-specific growth models with precision.
